July Newsletter

Hey Pixel FX crew! July's heating up, and we've got some updates to keep you in the loop on all things Pixel FX. Let's dive right in!

Wii RetroGEM Delay

We've been eagerly working on the Wii RetroGEM, but we have a quick update: the launch is delayed due to the shipment of flex cables not arriving yet. We're monitoring this closely and appreciate your patience as we ensure everything meets our high standards.

As soon as the shipment arrives, we'll send out a separate communication detailing the preorder date. Stay tuned, we can't wait to get this into your hands for the ultimate Wii experience!

New Morph 4K Upscaler Firmware Updates

We're thrilled to roll out some fantastic firmware updates for the Morph 4K upscaler. These enhancements are designed to elevate your retro gaming setup even further. Here's what's new:

Magiclock (AKA “Genlock”) added to Morph 4k

We've refined the Magiclock mode for better performance:

  • This mode lowers output latency and decreases/ removes dropouts between resolution or console switches.

  • Get the no signal drop experience like triple buffer, while having the lowest lag possible.

New Zoom Mode

We’re introducing a new zoom mode that lets you manually adjust the width and height of the output resolution in pixels.

This is particularly useful for video game consoles with odd but known resolutions, allowing you to dial in a profile for pixel perfect output for these consoles.

New Overscan/Crop Setting

We've added a new overscan/crop setting that allows you to change the color of the highlighted area when adjusting the crop, making it easier to fine-tune your display boundaries.
